Last week, our team from POL-TEC® , the German distributor, traveled to the PepperBall® headquarters. The visit was marked by intensive collaboration, with our goal of sustainably strengthening the partnership and jointly developing new product strategies for the German market.
On-site, we met with key representatives from PepperBall®'s sales, product management, and technology departments. In constructive discussions, we shared our understanding of the requirements of the German authorities and jointly discussed possible training and certification formats for demonstrations directly in Germany.
A special highlight was the exclusive presentation of three newly developed projectiles: Shatter™, Jammer™, and Lumen™ . These systems, developed in cooperation with RoboRounds®, open up entirely new application possibilities, such as targeted glass breaking (Shatter™), jamming of LIDAR or CCTV (Jammer™), and fluorescent target marking even in the dark (Lumen™). At the OTOA Conference in June, PepperBall® presented live technical videos and practical tests for the first time, which piqued the interest of numerous emergency responders.
Additionally, PepperBall® showcased two groundbreaking robotic solutions in collaboration with Marshfield Drones: AIMbot™, a mid-sized robot with a remote launcher and head-up display for precise long-range operations, and SWATbot™ , which can operate in tight spaces. These platforms enable PepperBall® launchers to be deployed from cover, a significant advancement in tactical procedures.
Our team was able to test numerous products live and try out various deployment scenarios with the launcher and other PepperBall® systems. We gained valuable insights into handling, operational readiness, and training effectiveness, all with a clear focus on German standards. These insights are the ones we want to translate directly into training concepts and demonstration formats.
The new products enable police , customs, and security services to implement more efficient solutions in their day-to-day operations. This concept significantly increases training capacity, fully in line with regulatory requirements.
For the German market, this means not only technological innovation, but also concrete prospects for German authorities. As the exclusive partner of the German Armed Forces with regard to non-lethal pulse handguns, we are now specifically committed to making PepperBall® products available to all authorities in Germany.
As a concrete next step, we are planning training sessions in Germany with PepperBall®, preparing for regulatory certifications, and conducting live demonstrations. We are also working on joint communication strategies for the market launch of these innovations in the German regulatory environment and law enforcement.
